  • The Designated Learning Institution (DLI) must provide you with an acceptance letter before you can apply for a Canadian study permit.

Generally, you may have funds under your name or that of a close friend or family member.

Documentation Requirements for Canadian Student Visa:

When you apply for a CANADA Student Visa, you will need to provide the following:

  • A valid passport
  • Certificates of 10th, 12th, and graduation attested by an official
  • Two academic references
  • Employer references - two
  • Statement of Purpose (SOP)
  • Achievement certificates for extracurricular activities
  • Admission letter from your institution of higher education
  • An official receipt of payment
  • Evidence that funds are available
  • A passport-size photograph
  • Student Permits and Visas
  • Language Proficiency
  • If there are additional requirements, your University will notify you before you submit your application

Application Requirements:

For obtaining a study permit in Canada, there are few stages:

  • Verify your eligibility for a Canadian study permit by checking the eligibility requirements.
  • Once you have met all the requirements, you can prepare the application for the study permit. It is valuable to have an immigration representative review your application before submitting it to ensure that you've met all requirements.
  • When applying for your study permit, you have two options: Submit an electronic application: Create an account on the Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada website and use scanned or electronic copies of your documents to submit your application electronically. To file a paper application, you must submit it in hard copy to the Visa Application Center assigned to your country.
  • Come to Canada if you are approved for a study permit! You will receive an introduction letter once your permit has been approved by the Canadian government.
